ONE TO ONE TRAINING

Specialising in dogs that have had more than one trainer, or have aggression, neurological disorders or fear-based problems.

We will happily take on any breed of dog at any age with any behavioural issues.

We pride ourselves on providing not only the best service but also a realistic non-gimmick-based training combined with an open and honest approach. Meaning if we cannot help you or meet all your training goal’s we will tell you this before commencing training so you have complete understanding of what will be achievable for your particular dog.

We tailor all our training to suit your requirements, so you and your dog get the most out of the training, combined with training sessions with no time limit's. This is because our training sessions are design around reaching a certain point in the training not clock watching, as we believe in working in a relaxed and friendly manner and will not charge you any extra if a session takes longer than expected.

All training is done in the comfort of your own home, or at a place which will be the most beneficial to you and your dog, this can be at the local beach, park or even at your local vets.

Before we start training with you, you'll receive a no-obligation consultation with costs £25.00*. Where we can get a full background on your dog, this will be mostly questions about the health, history, personality, and any other issues which your dog might have. There will also be a bit of observation to see how the dog behaves in their home environment or outside. At the end of this initial assessment, we will let you know how many training lessons it will take to train your dog and present you with the full cost of training.

*(This is taken off the cost of your training if you take out a training package with us, if not it covers our time spent on your case. The £25.00 fee only covers assessments at our address, not for home visit assessments.)

PUPPY STARTER TRAINING

Our puppy starter training covers all the training that is done in a puppy training class, only in the comfort of your own home.

It's very important to ensure that your dog is trained properly from a young age. The puppy starter training we provide is similar in format to our private training programme but designed for dogs that are less than 16-weeks old to get your puppy started off on the right path.

Because the programme takes place in your own home, it is very useful if you do not have time to attend a training class or you need additional help with things like toilet training. The programme consists of four training visits one to two weeks apart or half a days training with one follow up visit when we have finished the training, which ever works best for you.

The price for this starts at just £150.00 per dog.

Our starter puppy training is designed to get your puppy started off on the right path. These are home based training lessons so you can build a great relationship with your dog. Training includes:

  • Appropriate play

  • All 13 basic positions (sit, down, stand, stay, leave it, take it, drop it etc)

  • Chewing

  • Jumping up

  • Loose lead walking

  • Manners

  • Moving on from treats and toys

  • Play biting and bite inhibition

  • Preparation for adolescence

  • Prevention of problem behaviours

  • Puppy care and responsibility

  • Puppy identification

RESIDENTIAL TRAINING

Residential Boarding and Training package is a customized training plan built for your dog to work on specific areas, combining both obedience and behaviour training.

Residential training covers most aspects of training that your dog requires, such as basic commands, walking on a loose lead, walking off the lead, recall work, jumping up.

Unlike other boarding packages, you can get 'hands on' with the training by coming back every few days to spend time with your dog. This helps you keep up with the training and teaches your dog to work with you - not just the trainer. This is the key to the training working and at the end of the training your dogs newly acquired skills will be demonstrated to you when you pick up your dog.

When training has finished, you will receive two complimentary one-on-one sessions at home where I will show you how to make the best of the training we have completed with your dog. Any follow up training required within a year will be offered free of charge.

Before training starts, I will need to assess your dog prior to training. This is quite a complex assessment taking between 2 to 4 hours to complete and costs £90.00 per dog. This fee will be taken off the training cost if you take out a residential training package with us.

Residential training is NOT suitable for dogs that suffer with any of the following behavioural problems.

  • Aggressive to other people or dogs

  • Excessive barking

  • Separation anxiety

  • Fear behavioural problems

  • Toilet training problems

  • Excessive nervousness

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Compulsive disorders

  • Self mutilation

These are best dealt with in a one to one training session.
